Vanilla WoW Redridge Mountains geography. Bye Redridge Mountains and the occasion where i get ganked in Lakeshire lol.

Today Ignos became level 25. It was time to say bye to Redridge Mountains and head to Ashenvale. In Astranaar i set the inn there as my home and will be questing there.

I thought it was a good idea to give some information about Redridge Mountains like what mobs are in certain areas and what problems they are facing. It's kind of like Geography Now. If you don't know what that is click right here.

Redridge is a contested zone although it doesn't really feel like one. It's in the southeast of the Eastern Kingdoms. Bordered by the Burning Steppes to the north, Elywn Forest to the west, Deadwind Pass to the south, Duskwood to the southwest and the Swamp of Sorrows to the southeast. In southwest Redridge is the Three Corners. The entrances from Elywn Forest and Duskwood are here if you're Alliance you'll probably enter from here if you go to it on land. It's littered with wild birds Black Dragon Whelps and Gnoll camps. Guard Parker is the only guard that patrols here and kills mobs. If you go east from here you'll come across the Lakeridge Highway a road that used to be popular but now is scattered with Gnoll camps. Going north from Three Corners you'll make it to Lakeshire. This is where almost everybody in Redridge lives. The city is currently under siege by the Blackrock Orcs of the Dark Horde though. They are underdefended and it is taking long for Stormwind to send help. Magistrate Solomon rules it and all of Redridge well he's supposed to atleast. I call it the ganking capital since North of Redridge is a high level zone called the Burning Steppes bored Horde players gank the Alliance on a regular basis if you quested here before you know what it's like but i still managed to get through it. On top of Lakeshire is the Redridge Canyons there's also a cave there called the Rethban Caverns. It's controlled by a pack of Gnolls led by Yowler they have many camps set up there although the mobs there are very easy to kill. Lakeshire is also built upon Lake Everstill a giant lake splitting Redridge Mountains in half. There are many Murloc villages built around the lake and if you're lucky you might see the Lake Thresher a level 25 elite monster basically like the Loch Ness monster.

I actually saw it yesterday while i was questing as you can see above. If you head north from Lakeshire there is a road filled with wild birds Black Dragon Whelps and Blackrock Orcs. If you keep on heading north you'll reach Render's camp a Blackrock Orc camp [everything called render is named after Rend Blackhand founder of the Dark Horde]. If you go past that camp you'll end up in Render's Rock a cave also controlled by Blackrock Orcs and if you don't go to the camp at all and go northeast then you will end up going to the Burning Steppes another zone i mentioned above while talking about Lakeshire. If you don't go anymore north from the road and head east instead you'll see Alther's Mill. It's an abandoned lumber mill now overrun by spiders and wild birds. Going past it you'll see a orc camp on a hill although that is unimportant to what is right next to it which is Stonewatch. It's a fortress that used to belong to the Alliance but the Blackrock Orcs took it. The majority of you're elite quests will be here also please note this is a very dangerous area and don't attempt those quests without a group. The leader of the Blackrock Orcs in Redridge Gath'Ilzogg is here along with his lieutenant/second in command Thrail'zun. South of Stonewatch is Stonewatch Falls where Lake Everstill ends and Render's Valley another Blackrock Orc camp built next to another cave. East of Stonewatch is Galardell Valley where the Shadowhide Pack of Gnolls live. There is also a cave in the north of it but in the south is the Tower of Illigar where their master a Human Warlock named Morganth conducts his work. If you want to see my post about that click here. Morganth and the Blackrock Orcs are currently at war although Morganth killed some Humans too. Unfortunately for Lakeshire the Blackrock Orcs focus more on them then Morganth. That's all of Redridge it's a small zone but it's still pretty fun at times. If you can't handle the ganking then maybe try Duskwood although i'm not sure how it's like there. I believe Wetlands has some ganking but i don't think it's as much as Redridge. Thank you for reading this have a good day and good luck on you're adventures i'll see you later.
