Thrall was still alive though he was a baby at this time what happened was that the Shadow Council evil Orcs with demonic powers who used to control the Old Horde assassinated Thrall's parents and left him to die. Thrall was found by Humans and was put in a interment camp system where captured Orcs were imprisoned after the Second War.
